POMADA is an independent initiative founded in 2010 in Warsaw by queer artists and activists. Each year we organize exhibitions, performances, discussion panels for and about LGBTQ community. This year the slogan EDEN takes us to queer utopias and secret strategies of survival; to the place of collective actions, resistance and escapist oblivion.

This year all POMADA events are Free and will take place in one location, a space which will change into a queer EDEN for four amazing nights.

EDEN as a metaphor garden of life is swollen with meanings and possibilities for interpretations. Its borders go from queer utopias to secret survival strategies in times when movements discriminating sexual and ethnic minorities become more and more radical.

We will explore artistic practices and these going beyond art: individual and wild collective actions, alternative forms of resistance and expressing discontent.

EDEN is also a fantasy of our own independent identity: more or less precisely defined, in constant transition, outside of norms, holy and sinful at the same time.
